درجت العادة حتى لدى الملتزمين عقائدياً ، اياً كانت عقائدهم ، بمن فيهم الملتزمون دينياً ‏وأخلاقياً ، على انه في السياسة تسقط المحرّمات ، حتى اصبح مألوفاً القول ان السياسة نفسها ‏هي فن استباحة المحرّمات ، وان من يكون اقل تقيداً بالعقائد والمبادئ والمُثُل الاخلاقية هو ‏‏«الاشطر» ، والاقدر على تطويع العقائد لمصلحة السياسات البراغماتية وإيجاد « الفتاوى» ‏المدنية والدينية التي تبيح المحظورات .
حتى بات المعترض على التجاوزات الصارخة على كل ‏القِيم ، يُجابَه ممن يُفترض انهم « سدنة» وحماة القيم والمبادئ الاخلاقية والدينية - وكأنهم ‏يُشرِّعون التجاوز على المبادئ والقيم بالقول : « السياسة ليس لها دين».
وبما ان السياسة ‏ليس لها دين، فانه يجوز فيها استباحة ما هو « خطوط حمراء» على الصعيد المبدئي والعقائدي ‏والقِيَمي .
ونحن نعرف ان التاريخ لم يخلّد ايجابياً الا العظماء.
والعظماء الذين تعتز بهم ‏الامم هم اولئك الذين يتميزون بالصدق والجدّية في الحفاظ على القيم والمُثل الاخلاقية ‏والانسانية.
ولم نر في التاريخ من حظي بالاحترام والتقدير و»التعظيم» ، اذا كان كاذباً او ‏ملتوياً او مستبيحاً للمثل العليا والقيم الانسانية النبيلة .
وعندما سئل احد هؤلاء ‏القادة العظماء الذين خلّدهم التاريخ: « ما افضل الحيلة ؟!» قال: «افضل الحيلة ترك ‏الحيلة!» وهو نفسه لخص صفات المنافق المتقلب بثلاث : « اذا حدث كذب واذا وعد أخلف واذا ‏إئتُمن خان».
ولم نذكر اسم هذا العظيم لان إسمه يُعرَف من كلامه، ولانه يمكن الاستشهاد ‏بأقواله في شتى المجالات .
ولأن تكرار ذكر اسمه في مجتمع اصيب بداء الطائفية الوبيل، يجعل ‏المستشهد بها «متَهماً» بأنه يُكثِر من الاستشهاد بها بسبب انتمائه - على صعيد «الاحوال ‏الشخصية» - الى نفس المدرسة الفكرية التي ينتمي اليها العظيم ، علماً ان كل ما في الامر ‏ان هذا العظيم الذي خلّده التاريخ كان له في كل مجال اقوال خالدة ربما لم تتوفر عند سواه ‏بهذه الغزارة وهذا المستوى العالي .
ولذلك يضطر الباحث اوالكاتب او المفكر اوالخطيب ان ‏يستشهد بقولٍ من اقواله في مجالات لا تحصى .
ثم ان كثيرين ممن ينتمون الى مذاهب وعقائد زمنية ‏او دينية سياسية او اجتماعية يستشهدون بأقواله فلا مجال لاتهامهم «بالمذهبية « المتعارفة ‏عندنا في لبنان والمنطقة لان هذه المقولات الخالدة هي ملك للانسانية وليست حكراً على مذهب ‏سياسي او ديني من المذاهب بالمعنى الطائفي ! ‏
وبالعودة الى صلب الموضوع الذي نحن بصدده وهو موضوع تلخيص معنى السياسة - كما هو شائع ‏عند اوساط واسعة من الرأي العام سواءً على الصعيد « النخبوي» او «الشعبوي» - بأنه ‏يجوز فيها استخدام جميع الوسائل الملتوية واللا اخلاقية وحتى القذرة ، وان من لا يستخدمها ‏هو غبيّ ولا يصلح للعمل السياسي ! لانه بعيد عن الواقعية
