يذكر أن شركة فيرفاتا التايوانية طرحت برنامج FlexiSpy في أوائل شهر مارس الماضي مقابل 49.95 دولارًا معلنة أنه الأداة المثالية لمراقبة الأطفال والأزواج والزوجات أو بمعنى أصح الأداة المثالية للتجسس على الأزواج والزوجات غير المخلصين.
حيث يقوم البرنامج بجمع سجلات المكالمات والرسائل النصية ومواقع الإنترنت التي زارها المستخدم عبر هاتفه المحمول. ومن ثم يقوم البرنامج بإرسال البيانات المجمعة إلى سيرفرات شركة فيرفاتا حيث يمكن للعملاء الوصول لهذه المعلومات عبر موقع ويب خاص.
يذكر أن برنامج الرقابة المشابهة الذي طرح مؤخرًا لأجهزة الكمبيوتر الشخصية قد أثار غضب العديد من منظمات مكافحة العنف الأسري وذلك خوفًا من أن يتسبب مثل هذه البرنامج في إساءة معاملة الزوجات.
إلا أن شركة الحماية إف سكيور حذرت من البرنامج ناظرة إليه من زاوية مختلفة. فلقد اعتبرته فيروسًا من النوع حصان طروادة أو إن صح القول برنامجًا خطيرًا يتخفى وراء هدف نبيل. فالبرنامج يثبت نفسه دون الإعلان عن نفسه للمستخدم، كما إنه عندما يثبت نفسه، يخفي نفسه كليًا عن المستخدم.
ولهذا يمكن استخدامه وبمنتهى السهولة كجزء من حملة برامج تجسسية خطيرة تستهدف الهواتف المحمولة. وقد يحاول بعض الهاكرز إرسال البرنامج إلى الهواتف المحمولة عبر اتصال بلوتوث وهو يثق تمام الثقة في أن الفضول سيدفع العديدون إلى تثبيته. ولذلك قامت شركة إف سكيور بتحديث برنامجها لحماية الهواتف المحمولة لاكتشاف هذا البرنامج.
